| The choice is yours: black powder, rifle or bow hunting, we specialize in bear hunting with 20+ years of experience. Not only do we have a large territory with many mature black bears, we also have the knowledge and skills to find them! Join us for a great trip in the northern Laurentians. One price covers everything!
The territory is situated 48 km north of Mont-Laurier, in the municipality of Ste-Anne-du-Lac. Our private territory, covering a total area of 39 km squared, includes mountains of hard wood, evergreen plantations, as well as valleys of conifers, which makes our territory a haven for whitetail deer. We offer a fabulous hunting territory for small game hunters, as there are many kilometres of gravel roads and trails. During your walks in the woods, you will find a large number of ruffed grouse (partridge), spruce grouse & pheasants. We have many fishing boats to your disposal. The lakes of the region are so numerous that it is truly the ‘Land of the Thousand Lakes.’ Walleye, trout, pike, bass & maskinonge are the principal species of the area. Our main lodge & 13 cabins are located on the shores of Lac Tapanee. The cabins are clean & cozy, equipped with modern conveniences: electricity, hot water, dishes, cutlery, bedding, indoor toilets & showers. |

More than half a century of sustained fish and wildlife management allows us to offer you a harvest of exceptional quality. Brook trout (speckled trout) teems in most of the 135 lakes on our exclusive territory, and there are two lakes with walleye, six lakes with good populations of lake trout (lake char) and one lake with northern pike. And let's not forget the fabulous Lièvre river that borders our territory. It has a wide variety of species and its kilometres of rapids provide a special challenge to fly-fishing buffs. Mekoos can accommodate up to 150 guests at a time. Our rustic-looking cottages are built of logs. They are fully equipped to ensure that you enjoy a very comfortable stay. Except for the off-site cottages, you have access to electricity and all have a bathroom with a shower and running water. Mekoos is proud of its dining room, which is headed by an experienced chef who can satisfy the fussiest palate. In July and August, our "family vacation" packages offer a range of activities that will please both parents and children. While some loll in the sun and rest, the others can have fun on the beach, line fishing, kayaking, canoeing or riding on the pedal boat. On foot or bicycling, discover our 500 kilometres of trails, which promise you some fabulous. Our woods, teeming with game, abound in moose and small game and, after a thirty-year hiatus, the Mekoos again offers bear and white-tailed deer hunting. Both are plentiful. |
