Quebec's
Northern tundra region is a vast land of rolling ridges and brawling
rivers, a land still wild and unspoiled where you find clear horizons
and solitude.Arctic Char show up at the mouth of the major rivers flowing
into Ungava Bay. They're big Char, many of them having grown to trophy
size on capelin, krill, shrimp and sand eels during their yearly sojourns
in the restless expanses of Ungava Bay. Through the summer months, these
big char eagerly hit on any variety of lures and streamers, battling
valiantly. After mid-August most of the fishing is done from outpost
camps which are situated inland for big, colourful Arctic Char, Sea
Run Brook Trout, Native Brook Trout, Lake Trout and the occasional Atlantic
Salmon. |
