Sunsets and Seascapes - The most westerly part of the Island is very well described by its Sunsets & Seascapes title. Red sandstone cliffs formed by wind and water, gleaming white lighthouses stark against brilliant sunsets, scenes of Islanders busy plying their trades on the land and the sea; these are the images most familiar to travellers in the region west of Portage.

Here in the centre of Tignish begins the province's tip-to-tip Confederation Trail, a hiking and cycling path that continues all the way to Elmira, 300 kilometres to the east. This is in the heart of one of the Island's most productive potato farming regions and here they pay tribute to our most important crop at the Prince Edward Island Potato Museum. South of Miminegash, you will find the West Point Lighthouse Inn, whose deck looks out over the white sand beaches of Cedar Dunes Provincial Park. With all of this to choose from, you will have no reason to ever leave Sunsets & Seascapes!

Ship to Shore - Located just minutes west of the city of Summerside, this region of P.E.I. emulates the rich culture and history of the Island's Acadian population. The priceless contributions Acadians have made with respect to virtually all aspects of life on P.E.I. have been recorded and preserved within the Acadian Museum/Musee Acadien in Miscouche. To further immerse oneself in this richly textured culture, visitors are encouraged to visit the town of Evangeline, located off of Highway #2 on the Western end of the Miscouche bog. Visitors can delight in the Acadian way of life while walking the newly-constructed boardwalk. Traditional art and craftwork of the region's finest artisans are on display.
