Visit the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve where you can see humpback whales, millions of sea birds and 10,000 year old icebergs, in late spring and early summer. The reserve consists of three islands and the waters around them. There is a phenomenal number of Seabirds here that nest and raise their young.

While touring the Avalon Peninsula you may want to visit the Avalon Wilderness Reserve. The Avalon Wilderness Reserve is home to a 5000 strong heard of woodland Caribou, the worlds southernmost. For those interested in Canoeing, Fishing, or hiking this is a excellent trip.

Long Range Adventures are proud to offer great rates for adventure in Newfoundland. Weather you want to take part in one of our multi-day tours or are just looking at customizing a couple day adventure for you and your family. We offer our customers a range of activities including: Hiking, Sea-Kayaking, Biking, and a combination of these sports referred to as a Multi-Sport Adventure. Our guides are qualified people that will answer any questions you might have, and pepper you with local folklore. All of our tours are Moderate adventures and some are easy than others.

Gros Morne offers a great place to explore, and taking one of our guided tours aids in a greater understanding and appreciation of the environment and culture that surrounds you.

Long Range Adventure Hostel is located in beautiful Sally's Cove, in Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland. We are located oceanfront offering great hiking trails, bike trails, canoes and kayaks. Endless shoreline to explore and enjoy an evening beach fire watching the sunset in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.

Gros Morne National Park offers a whole new world to discover. Endless glacier carved fjords, lush green valleys, and a culture that speaks for itself. We offer educational, interpretive and eco-friendly guided tours in Gros Morne National Park and throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. We have been in business since 2000, beginning by offering guided backpacking tours on the Long Range Traverse. Labrador Salmon Lodge

Our fishing lodge is located within the beautiful town of Forteau, Labrador on the north east coast of continental North America. Salmon fishing is a prime summer activity in this region. It is here that competent anglers will enjoy one of their greatest opportunities to land trophy Atlantic Salmon. The Forteau area and surrounding region is steeped in history, dating back to the first European settlers in the 18th century. This area is rich in a wide variety of tourist destinations and historic sites. The opportunity to see icebergs, whale watching, flora and fauna make this area of Labrador one of the most diverse and breath taking regions in North America.

Accommodations: 6 bedroom wilderness lodge. All packaged fishing tours include meals, accommodations, fishing guide, use of boat and motor, local transportation, freezer service, maid service as well as applicable taxes. Access is by auto and ferry from Newfoundland or flights into Blanc Sablon with local pickup available. We will be pleased to help assist you with your travel arrangements.

Labrador Salmon Lodge not only offers you the chance at a fantastic fishing experience, but other great attractions unique to southern Labrador. Whale watching; iceberg watching; bird watching including puffins, murrs; hiking trails; Labrador Straits Museum, Parks Canada National Historic Sites (Maritime Archaic Indian Burial Mound, Red Bay, and Battle Harbour); berry picking ; Bakeapple Folk Festival (held during the 2nd week of August); Point Armour Lighthouse; craft shops, and more!

Rifflin' Hitch Lodge

Activities: Fly-Fishing, Nature, Corporate Retreats

Riffin' Hitch Lodge offers the best in Atlantic salmon angling and outdoor leisure tourism. The perfect wilderness spot for the avid angler, incentive travel, corporate retreats or just getting away. Our Eagle River Atlantic salmon fishing is world class! Some salmon weigh in at over 30 pounds. In addition to wild, world class Atlantic salmon, there are spots in the river where brook trout and northern pike can be found. We are fly-fishing only. There is a wonderful selection of flies available at the lodge and a fly tying desk in one corner is available for everyone's use.

Accommodations: 7000 sq. foot wilderness lodge. The dining table which accommodates all guests at one sitting is the perfect spot to partake in delectable meals and share tales with your old and new friends. Each of the seven bedrooms features homemade quilts, hand hooked rugs, a full complement of linens and towels and its own complete bath. The recreation room features a hot tub and pool table. The board walkways make walking around the lodge comfortable and safe for even the physically challenged. Please ask about the services available for wheelchair accessibility.

We have hiking trails for those wishing to encounter the real wilderness of Labrador and view the local beaver colony, family of loons, caribou and eagles. No wonder some companies are finding us a great asset for their business.

Package includes accommodations, meals, maid service, guides, air transportation to and from the lodge, and licenses. The 50 minute flight by float plane or helicopter originates in Goose Bay.
