Long Range Adventures are proud to offer great rates for adventure in Newfoundland. Weather you want to take part in one of our multi-day tours or are just looking at customizing a couple day adventure for you and your family. We offer our customers a range of activities including: Hiking, Sea-Kayaking, Biking, and a combination of these sports referred to as a Multi-Sport Adventure. Our guides are qualified people that will answer any questions you might have, and pepper you with local folklore. All of our tours are Moderate adventures and some are easy than others.

Gros Morne offers a great place to explore, and taking one of our guided tours aids in a greater understanding and appreciation of the environment and culture that surrounds you.

Long Range Adventure Hostel is located in beautiful Sally's Cove, in Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland. We are located oceanfront offering great hiking trails, bike trails, canoes and kayaks. Endless shoreline to explore and enjoy an evening beach fire watching the sunset in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.

Gros Morne National Park offers a whole new world to discover. Endless glacier carved fjords, lush green valleys, and a culture that speaks for itself. We offer educational, interpretive and eco-friendly guided tours in Gros Morne National Park and throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. We have been in business since 2000, beginning by offering guided backpacking tours on the Long Range Traverse. Explore Magazine just rated the traverse as one of the best backpacking experiences in all of North America.

Dhoon Lodge

Dhoon Lodge is a large country style lodge resting on 20 acres of quiet scenic grounds bounded on the south and east by Harry's river and cradled by the Long Range mountains. The original log structure was built in 1941 as a private V.I.P. Hunting and Fishing Lodge. Enjoy the tradition of hospitality and cosy atmosphere of "days gone by". Harry's River, one of Newfoundland's finest Salmon rivers, flows just meters from the Dhoon Lodge. We offer complete fishing packages, which include salmon licenses, fishing guides and accommodations. Throughout its meandering course to the sea from George's Lake, the many pools and rapids of Harry's River have much to offer the fisherman or recreational canoeist. Come, cast your line across our river. Paddle its waters in canoe or kayak. Hike our forests and mountains. Then enjoy a pleasant evening and a restful night at the Lodge.

For your overnight stay you may choose the home atmosphere of the main lodge, one of our 5 adjacent motel units, the two-bedroom efficiency unit, or the one bedroom efficiency honeymoon cabin for that very special occasion. You can relax in front of the fireplace in the comfortable Lewin room or enjoy the scenery from the Sun Porch Lounge. Golf among the firs and birches of our 9-hole par 3 golf course! Located just 18 km from Stephenville and only 12 km from the Trans Canada highway on Route 460, the Lodge offers access to the diverse seasonal activities available throughout Western Newfoundland.

Sandy Lake Lodge

Located in the remote heart of Newfoundland's Hunting and Fishing country, Sandy Lake Lodge has one of the highest population densities of Moose, Woodland Caribou & Black Bear found anywhere. Grand Slam Hunts are common. For the fishing enthusiast, Sandy Lake Lodge offers bait and fly fishing at its best. Trophy catches of Brown, Mud, Brook and Speckled Trout are found in nearby waters, as are Atlantic Salmon and Quinaniche. Flyin Fishing Trips Available.

While at Sandy Lake Lodge, you may wish to undertake one of our new Fly In Wilderness Adventure excursions. Our Enstrom Helicopter, flown by one of Sandy Lakes most qualified guides, will fly you, a qualified guide and a cook to one of our Outpost Camps for three days and two nights.
