Set among some of Canada's most beautiful scenery & finest fishing waters - a private island lodge awaits you. The lodge sits right on the northwest edge of Manitoba’s Atikaki Wilderness Area and Ontario’s Woodland Caribou Provincial Park. This rugged terrain offers an abundance of fresh water and some of Manitoba’s most beautiful scenery and outstanding Walleye and Northern Pike fishing. Relax in style while visiting the peaceful Canadain northwoods. Wildlife is abundant including woodland caribou, loons, bald eagles, owls, moose, deer, bear, timber wolves, marten and lynx. Stroll our island or scan the shoreline to view countless species of plants and animals.

Accommodations: Each of the 4 lakeside cabins at Shining Falls Lodge has it’s own private bath, kitchen facilities, barbeque grill, deck overlooking the lake, and picnic table. Choosing the “American Plan Package” means you’ll enjoy your breakfast and evening meals in our new lakeside dining hall. Enjoy dinners of chicken, pork roast, steak, turkey, pork chops and more. Delicious desserts will be served every evening. Gather in the dining hall and hear the fish stories of the day. It’s a great time to meet new friends and get to know your own fishin’ buddies a little better. This comfortable facility can double as a wilderness board room for a corporate retreat or meeting. If you choose our “Housekeeping Package”, we’ll provide canned fruits and vegetables in the cabin. Honeymoon Getaways can be enjoyed in our #4 Cabin with its own private docks and private setting.

American Plan packages include floatplane transportation from Silver Falls or Bisset to the lodge, lodging in one of 4 wilderness cabins accommodating , meals, boat & motor, gas, shore lunch kits and more.

Dogskin Lake Lodge

Tucked away in Eastern Manitoba, within the Atikaki Wilderness Park, is Dogskin Lake Lodge. True Pristine Wilderness surrounds Dogskin, there are no roads, with flying by floatplanes the only way in, and once there, you may not want to leave. Dogskin Lodge is located on an island and once you venture from the lodge you can truly experience the wilderness as the hunter and trappers did decades and centuries before. Although a vast body of water, Dogskin Lake with surrounding lakes such as Francis and Clayton Lake are accessed easily within 35 minutes from the lodge. At Dogskin you will experience trophy walleye and northern pike fishing, regardless of your chosen vacation season.

Accommodations at Dogskin Lake Lodge are limited to a maximum of 40 guests. We find our average occupancy is 14-18 guests at any given time. With groups of 24 guests or more we dedicate the entire facility without any additional guests at the Lodge. Dogskin Lake Lodge's brand new cabins offer fully insulated walls and ceilings, carpeted floors, fiberglass showers with glass doors, many windows to see the spectacular views and wildlife and complete privacy.
