Enjoy
some of the finest walleye and pike fishing in North America as
you fish the North Saskatchewan River and Tobin Lake located a
short distance from Nipawin, Saskatchewan. Fish the waters that
are famous for trophy walleye and big northern pike.
Tobin Lake is known world wide for it's huge walleye and Northern
Pike. Widely regarded as one of the best places in North America
to catch a walleye of 10 pounds or more, Tobin is home to the
18.06 pound Saskatchewan record walleye.
Walleye fishing consists of drift fishing using bottom bouncers
and spinners baited with leeches or night crawlers. Tobin Lake
has a slot size of Walleye to help maintain & preserve the
unique trophy fishery. All walleye between 21.6" and 31.5"
are protected and must be released.

The Northern Pike, the most widely distributed sport fish in Saskatchewan,
is considered one of the fiercest and most thrilling of all freshwater
game fish.
The "great northern" generally prefers shallow weed
areas in lakes and can often be caught in spring and fall in bays,
off points and on sandbars dropping off into deeper waters. Pike
fishing consists of trolling or casting spoons or crankbaits into
shallow weedy areas.
Tobin Lake, a fertile natural reservoir holds trophy pike, up
to 38.5 pounds, with countless 20 pound plus fish being taken
every year. Other species in Tobin Lake include sturgeon, perch,
goldeye, and sauger.
Tobin Lake has a slot size on Northern Pike to help maintain &
preserve the unique trophy fishery. All pike between 29.5"
and 41.3" are protected and must be released.
