Cathedral Lakes Lodge

Activities: Fishing, Hiking, Nature, Photography

Cathedral Lakes Lodge Canada's highest full service hiking and fishing resort, is located in the core area of Cathedral Provincial Park, in south western British Columbia on the BC & Washington State border. Guests have the option of staying in a comfortable lodge room or a cozy cabin while exploring the diverse terrain of the Park. Transportation is provided from our base camp to the lodge and cabins at Quiniscoe Lake 2000 meters (6800 ft) above sea level. Trails starting from the Lodge offer guests a full range of hiking, from easy walks around the lakes, to alpine meadows abundant with wild flowers in the summer months.

The "Cathedral Rim Trail" follows a high alpine ridge 8500 feet above sea level. The 360-degree view from the rim enables hikers to see the North Cascade Mountains, The Coastal Range, The Thompson Plateau, and The Kootenays all from one location. On a clear day Mt. Baker is easily visible in the west and it is even possible to see Mt. Riner near Seattle almost 200 air miles away! After a day of hiking or fishing guests enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot tub, a good meal in the lodge dinning room and a pleasant evening in front of the stone fireplace. There are no radios, televisions or even room phones and guests remark that the lodge is place where new found friends entertain themselves by engaging in the lost art of after dinner conversation.

Besides all inclusive vacation packages, Cathedral Lakes Lodge also provides a service to transport campers, by four wheel drive vehicles, from our base camp to the provincial campgrounds 'in the core area of Cathedral provincial Park.
