Finger Lake Wilderness Resort

Finger Lake Wilderness Resort, 75 km (45 miles) south of Vanderhoof, British Columbia is only a two hour drive from Prince George Airport. The resort is the only access to the lake, which is 9 km long and 2 km wide with several islands and bays to explore. Excellent fishing for rainbow trout and kokanee. Make Finger Lake your base camp and try one of several nearby trophy lakes (Lavoie, Hobson, Chief Grey and Rum Cache). We offer an introductory Fly Fishing course in a relaxed holiday setting.

Accommodations: Four clean log cabins are available at moderate rates. Each cabin is fully equipped with an antique wood burning stove to keep you warm and cozy, and a propane stove and fridge. The two larger cabins sleep six adults and the smaller cabins accommodate three people. One cabin is wheel chair accessible. A rollaway cot and child play-pen are also available on request at no extra charge. We also provide a propane barbeque for general use.

Camping: Choose from eleven sites suitable for RVs, trailers, campers and tents. Pre-cut firewood and a free hot shower are provided.

Finger Lake is two wheel drive accessible. There maybe no one else on the lake, except you and the loons. The chances of spotting bear, moose, wolverine, lynx, deer and other wild life along the 20 miles of lake shore are excellent. Once at the resort, the hustle and bustle of the world will be just a distant memory.

Babine Steelhead Lodge

Babine Steelhead Lodge is family owned and operated on the Babine River. It is located in the interior of British Columbia, accessible only by boat and untouched by urban living.

The lakeside dock is only minutes from the resort. From here you can enjoy tours of the lake or as much fishing as you can handle. Wildlife is at your doorstep in Granisle with miles of lakeshore or backwoods trails for hiking/cross country skiing/snowmobiling. Take the family on Float Plane tour of the lake, a guided 4 x 4 tours/hikes, horseback riding, or to a remote fly-in fish camps.
