Northern British Columbia and The Queen Charlotte Islands fishing lodges and family resorts...
Northern BC is the largest tourism region in British Columbia with 500,000 square miles of wilderness accessed by only two major highways
The region extends from the Rockies in the east to the Queen Charlotte Islands lying off the west coast and home to the Haida Indians. The northeast corner of the province contains an area of the Interior Plains east of the Rockies, as well as the Alaska Highway, the historic road built during World War II, and now the major access road through the wilderness to the north.
This region has a western route north to the Yukon and Alaska. A spectacular drive with breath taking scenery and access to remote wilderness parks including Northern Rocky Mountains Provincial Park with its 8 million hectares of unspoiled wilderness.
Major centers are Prince George, Prince Rupert, Dawson Creek, and Fort Nelson.
