Vancouver Island and Coastal Islands Fishing Lodges and Family Resorts
British Columbia Lodges and Resorts Vacations

Victoria and the Coastal Islands Region fishing lodges and family resorts
The Islands, off the southwest corner of the province, include Vancouver Island. At the south end is Victoria, a heritage city and the capital of the province. The protected east coast is dotted with communities that offer excellent fishing, cruising, and wonderful wading and swimming beaches.

There are also numerous smaller islands between Vancouver Island and the mainland that are famous for their scenery and artisan communities. Further north, at Telegraph Cove, there exist no finer opportunities anywhere to view orcas (killer whales).

The more remote west coast of the island offers the fabulous beaches of Pacific Rim National Park, unique hiking trails and small coastal ferry services to take you to tiny communities like Bamfield, Gold River and Tahsis. Central Vancouver Island offers the huge Strathcona Provincial Park.

Victoria is a world-renowned tourism destination. One of the most visitor-friendly cities anywhere with its beautiful floral parks, quality of life and gentle moderate climate.
