Rendezvous Lodge offers a wide range of accommodations and services catering to individuals or groups seeking a secluded yet refined retreat. Guests will enjoy tastefully appointed rooms that are comfortable, cozy and immaculate. The Great Room has a bay window seating area to relax and enjoy a view of the deck, ocean and surrounding Islands as well as a cozy seating area around a beautiful gas fireplace to read, watch TV or play games. Our menu features delights for every taste from fine cuts of beef to fresh seafood. Guests may enjoy a relaxing soak in the spa on the deck while enjoying the indescribable sunset or gazing at billions of stars in a truly dark sky. Lunch, appetizers, snacks along with beer or wine are served on the deck.

This is an adventure lodge with activities and expeditions available to match your sense of adventure. Fishing, sea-kayaking, sailing, adventure toura and flights are offered. See magnificent wildlife in their natural habitat. Truly a naturalists dream. Half day or full day trips available. Choose from conventional motor yacht or Zodiac trips. Rendezvous Lodge is handicapped accessible and has accommodations adapted for those with special needs.

Pacific Orca Lodge

WeGo Kayaking has the only private floating lodge in the Johnstone Strait area. Our cozy lodge is strategically positioned to combine not only fantastic orca viewing, but also the opportunity to kayak through the myriad of small islets and passages that make up the Broughton Archipelago. This combination of Orcas, the Broughton Archipelago, our remote lodge, fabulous cuisine and fun guides, ensure that you will have the sea kayaking adventure of a lifetime.

Located on the northeast coast of Vancouver Island, the Johnstone Strait area is home to one of the largest resident Orca (killer whale) populations in the world. Each year the Orcas return to the area to feed on the abundant supply of salmon, and to rub their bellies on the smooth pebble ocean floor of Robson Bight (Michael Biggs Marine Sanctuary). From the seat of a kayak, Orca (killer whale) viewing is an unforgettable experience. In addition to the unsurpassed thrill of kayaking with the Orcas, Humpback and Minke whales, we will also visit culturally significant ancient native sites and enjoy a wild salmon dinner. Other wildlife that we are likely to see in this naturally diverse region include, porpoises, bald eagles, rhinoceros auklets, bears, seals, dolphins and more…..

This lodge based expedition commences from Port McNeill when you board our high speed water taxi for a scenic voyage through the emerald green waters of Johnstone Strait to your home for the next four days, the WeGo Kayaking floating lodge. This scenic forty-five minute journey to the lodge is an excellent opportunity to start acquainting yourself with this beautiful and diverse region of Vancouver Island.

All of our tour programs begin in Campbell River on Vancouver Island (accessible by air from the Vancouver International Airport). A half-hour flight over islands dotting scenic Johnstone Strait takes you into the heart of the wilderness and to our landing dock in Glendale Cove. From there, the adventure is yours to discover!
