| Join Dave and Jeannie Cadsand at Rock Island Lake Fishing Camp for a fly-fishing adventure in the heart of British Columbia. Enjoy guided or unguided trips to wilderness BC lakes, gourmet meals, cozy log cabins, and the call of the loon. Rock Island Lake is located an hour and a half north of Kamloops in British Columbia's world renowned trout fishing region. We are now licenced in over fifty lakes. Day trips, and overnight camps available with advance notice. We are fortunate that all the lakes have only one species, "wild Kamloops rainbow trout". The rainbow trout vary in size from pan fry size to . . .?; the largest was caught in 1996 and hit the scales at 8.5 pounds! For your comfort we have six cozy log cabins fully equipped for housekeeping with propane cook tops, wood heaters, bedding, towels, cooking and eating utensils and cold running water. Firewood and kindling are at your door. There is an ample supply of ice for your portable coolers. Showers, flush toilets and plenty of hot water are all centrally located. Home Cooked Meals, Jeannie has several different menus, and special diets can be accommodated if notified in advance. You can enjoy hearty home cooked meals in the lodge or do your own cooking in the cabin. The staff at Rock Island Lake Fishing Camp will gladly clean your fish, ice or smoke them if you wish (smoked trout from Rock Island is a delicious treat). The BC Interior is fortunate to enjoy four distinct seasons. Each season offers its own brand of outdoor recreational activities. Come November, when the snow falls, the landscape changes and a subtle white stillness covers the land. It's a time for a BC winter wonderland getaway. Rock Island features interesting and exciting adventures in the snow. Wintertime at Rock Island means cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, skating or a guided nature trip with a chance to photograph our wilderness animals and birds. |

well as Kokanee. Generally Rainbow Trout average 3-5 BLS., but much
larger ones are often caught. The shoreline is covered with sand and
gravel beaches and the lake is surrounded by a pine forest. Charlotte
Lake's water is clear and deep. Because of this, Charlotte Lake's water

here would undoubtedly provide the scenic drive of a lifetime. The most
preferred option is to fly via Pacific Coastal Airlines, located on
